Add The Windows Disk Cleanup Util To The Desktop

Windows PC Tuning Tip to Add to Your Spring Cleaning Checklist
Add the windows Disk Cleanup To the desktop
Use Windows’ Disk Cleanup to eliminate data clutter, free up hard disk space and regain performance. To access the built-in tool and its entire set of features, which are hidden by default, and get rid of downloaded program files, temporary Internet files and much more, you’ll need to create a special shortcut.
To do this, right-click on your desktop, select “New/Shortcut”, and copy and paste the following command as pictured below: %SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 &Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535.

Then, click “Next”, give it a name and hit “Finish”—you should be all set to double-click on the shortcut to launch Disk Cleanup. Once open, check all of the files you would like to delete from the list the tool provides. If you’re not sure what these options mean, simply highlight them to view their descriptions. When you’ve finished selecting all of the items you’d like to delete, just click “OK” to revive your sluggish system.
