If
your parents would like to learn to use the computer but you are
too busy to take time to teach them or are not near them, here is a perfect
tool for that.
Some of the folks at Google have been
thoughtful enough to create teachparentstech.org. It provides you with a template for an
email to your parents or anybody else whom you want to help. Just select the
required options and then you can choose from several video tutorials
that explain in a very simple way how to do things.
There are 5 different categories to
choose videos from – The Basics, World Wide Web,
Communication, Media and, Finding Information. The videos include
teaching simple tasks like how to copy & paste, change the wallpaper,
setting up and email auto-responder, attaching a file to an email etc. You can
view the videos by clicking on the little arrow next to the titles.
Once you have selected the videos and
filled in all the options, click on the preview button and you will be
presented with a preview of how the email will look the recipient. Once you are
ready to send the mail, fill in your email address and the email address of the
recipient and click the Send button.
Just one thing to note though. Make
sure that the person you are sending the email to, knows how to check emails.
If they don’t then take some time out to teach them about sending and receiving
emails. The rest they can learn from teachparentstech.org.
Here at A.J.R Computing we also provide private one to one or small group computer training sessions from basics to more advanced areas of computing, if you need help don't hesitate to contact A.J.R Computing and don't forget - "We're Only A Few Click's Away"
