Password Protect Your PC..!

Password: I Hope That Isn’t Your Password..!

As i worked on a client's computer after a surprise virus attacked infected her system and she brought it in for a virus removal and system tune-up, I mentioned it was time to change her passwords. "All of them?" she said, "It is so hard to think up a new one". As a computer tech I see this time and time again. I may need a password to perform tasks for a client and they will say "My password is 'password' or "My password is '123456'. or the password hint will be "My Name" This posses a very bad security risk. With easy passwords someone can easily log into your Social sites, your email, and even your bank account with ease.

There is a better way where you can still use one password but keep your data secure and protected. Introducing a service called 'Lastpass'. I have been using this service personally for months and found it the easiest, best, and helpful service I use. The service uses one master password and remembers all of your passwords, it will even generate secure passwords to be used on your sites.
Their website is http://www.Lastpass.com , Please check them out and as always see

How to set a strong Windows password?
It is easy for you to create a Windows password. Firstly, you need to create a Windows user account and then set password for it. Whether your operating system is Windows 7, Vista or XP, the steps to create a Windows password are similar. The following are steps to create a Windows password on Win XP. Please keep your Windows login password in mind or else you have to recover it then.

1. Click 'Start' -> 'Control Panel' -> 'User Accounts'.

2. In the pick an account to change area of the User Accounts window, click 'Create a new account'.

Note: If you have created a Windows account, you can ignore this step and go to step 5 to create a Windows password directly.

3. Type your user name for the account, and then click 'Next'.

4. Select your account type and click 'Create account' to finish your operation. And now the user account is successfully created.

5. Click the account you just created.

6. Click 'Create a new password'.

7. Type into your Windows password and choose a password hint, and then click 'Create Password'.

8. Now that your Windows XP account has a password setup, you must use this password to log on to Windows XP from this point forward.
